In case you missed it yesterday… Shout out to the middle school Odyssey of the Mind team- Leah Weiser, Will Mercado, Sasha D’Croz, and Dillon Fabulich!  They represented PK at the state competition in Orlando over the weekend, and have been invited to compete in the Odyssey of the Mind World Competition in May!  Way to Go, Blue Wave!!

Mr. Moody’s High School Art Club is now meeting in person Tuesday afternoons until 3:30! Come enjoy some good discussion and art-making fun!

Today and Thursday during lunch the Climate Action Club will be selling handmade chokers, reusable face wipes, and scrunchies. All proceeds will go to helping raise awareness about climate change and to environmental nonprofits. Come check out our zero-waste fundraiser made from reused items! Pictures of our products are on Instagram @pky_climate_action_club.

Seniors – you must have 75 hours of community service TURNED IN by April 1st in order to graduate.  Please be aware of the date. Dr. Geiger is willing to give some hours to those of you who would be willing to clean the south parking lot. See her during lunch for more information.

Seniors – please check your canvas course for the Senior Project. Everything is due this THURSDAY, March 18th.  If you have questions, please contact Dr. Haas-Moskowitz.

Class-specific t-shirts are on sale until Spring Break.  Shirts are $11.50 and we have a different color for 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders.  We also have a black shirt for everyone that is not grade-specific.  Look for the fliers around school for the website or QR code, or go to this link: https://pkyfundraiser2021.itemorder.com/sale which you can access through the Announcements section of the PK website.  This is turning into a competition between the Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. Listen in tomorrow to find out which class has the most class spirit so far.

Today we will answer a couple more “Because You Asked” questions.

What was the big deal about yesterday, March 15th Well, March 15th is called the “Ides of March” and was the day that ancient Romans had to pay back all their debts. BUT March 15th is also special because it’s Mrs. V’s birthday! If you didn’t get a chance to wish her happy birthday, yesterday, you can do it today!
Can we have Power Hour back. Dr. Geiger isn’t sure. She said you should ask Mr. Bourn what he thinks!

Please stand for the pledge: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Have a great day, Blue Wave!
