March 15, 2022

Good morning! Today is Tuesday, March 15th

Gainesville Fire Rescue is hiring non certified applicants that want to pursue a career in Public Safety. Applicants may attend the Fire Academy in the fall of 2022. They will receive pay and insurance benefits while attending the required Training Academies. This is a great opportunity for students not planning to attend college to start a lifelong career.

They say “Life is a cabaret”, so come and see ours! PKY Performing Arts will present an evening Cabaret show on APRIL 1st. Tickets are on sale on the school website and the Hometown tickets app. Come see a variety of great performances and support your friends and classmates as they feature their talents in our Cabaret!

Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Tennis teams for their wins yesterday over 7 Rivers Christian Academy. Weather permitting, the boys play today against GHS at 330 at Jonesville Tennis Center. Go Blue Wave Tennis!

JV and Varsity Football Cheer Try-outs will be held on Thursday, March 31st and Friday, April 1st from 4-6pm in the gymnasium.  Please pick-up your cheerleading try-out packet from the main office. Packets must be turned in by Wednesday, March 30th at 3pm.

All UNICEF students please remember that Water Walk is this Thursday after school

This is a reminder that this week, we will have a mental health advisory on Wednesday March 16th.  On that day, the bell schedule will be shifted slightly.  Advisory has been extended by 20 minutes to give more time for the mental health lessons and debriefing time.

Climate Action Club will meet on Wednesday, March 16 during lunch under the oak tree. We hope to see you there!

“Seniors! You might be eligible for Bright Futures. Go to the high school counseling canvas page announcements and look at the Bright Futures update to see eligibility requirements and how to apply.”

Finally, we saved the best announcement for last. Today is a very special day as we celebrate the birthday of a very special person. As our main office receptionist, Ms. V sees nearly every student, parent, teacher, staff worker and visitor that arrives here on our campus. No matter their mood, she greets everyone with a smile and performs her job duties with love and care. One day of celebration just wouldn’t be enough. Today, we celebrate Ms V’s birthday.

Please pause for a moment of silence: Hang up and start again for the pledge

Please stand for the pledge:

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Have a wonderful day Blue Wave!
