Good morning! Today is Tuesday, February 15th.

 All members of UNICEF please finish your posters and turn them in before Friday.

All  new and past members of the Global Awareness club please come to our meeting this Thursday February 17 during lunch at classroom L-356

 Creative Photography Club will meet next Tuesday after school for a workshop on Light Photography. Bring your flashlight and your camera to join us. See Ms. Johnson with any questions. We will meet in the N Wing Art Gallery right after school February 22nd.

 Congratulations to all three PK Odyssey of the Mind teams (2 elementary teams and one high school) who competed on Saturday, February 11.

Both elementary teams place third in their respective categories and division.  One of the elementary teams earned a Omer award given for outstanding work as a team. The High school team won their problem and division and awarded the Ranatra Fusca award, the highest award given at the competition for creativity.  All three teams advance to state in Orlando on March 12th.

 Seniors – Grad Bash is here!  Here are a few important things you need to know:

  • K. will be going on Saturday, April 30th.
  • We will leave P.K. at 4 p.m. and return the next morning at 4:30 a.m.
  • Cost is $90/student and includes travel by charter bus.
  • This is a special event, so season passes are not accepted.
  • There are 2 forms that must be signed by your parent/guardian and returned to the business office when you purchase your ticket. You will NOT be allowed to go without these signed forms.
  • The forms are posted in the Senior Canvas Course Announcements section, and in the main office.
  • Tickets go on sale Friday, February 18th, and are due Friday, March 4th. We must submit our ticket order to Universal, so late orders cannot be accepted.

 The PK National Honor Society is hosting Life South for a blood drive here on campus. All students 16 and older who meet certain weight requirements are eligible to donate. The blood drive will take place next Tuesday, February 22nd, throughout the day. Life South representatives will be here on campus this Friday during lunch to sign students up. Students who donate will receive a free t-shirt and volunteer hours’ time. Have a heart – give blood!

This is a reminder that this week, we will have a mental health advisory on Wednesday Feb 16th.  On that day, the bell schedule will be shifted slightly.  Advisory has been extended by 20 minutes to give more time for the mental health lessons and debriefing time.

 Seniors – your t-shirts are in!! We will have them outside the cafeteria at lunch today and tomorrow for those who bought them.  Remember, you must pay for them first. You can pay using your card in the business office or bring cash or check to Mrs. Koppitch at the table.

 Teachers, you should have received a link in email from Dr. Geiger regarding students’ preferences for the annual BSU program.  Please provide the link to your first period students and allow them to complete the survey this morning during first period. Thanks for your help!
