IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION REGARDING LUNCH & POWER HOUR SCHEDULES:
In order to make up the time for the days missed during Hurricane Irma, we have made a slight adjustment to the schedule on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
High school lunch will begin 5 minutes earlier, at 12:10.
ALL STUDENTS should begin to transition to class at 12:40 so as to be in place by 12:45, the new start time for the last period of the day.
Shaving off this five minutes of transition time helps us avoid giving up scheduled vacation days or adding days to the end of the school year.
Please make sure that you plan accordingly so that you are not late to your last class of the day.
Students! The ASVAB will be administered today after school. If you would like to sign up, please let Ms. Bryen know and/or sign up with Sergeant Nilson during high school lunch this week.
Juniors and Seniors! Look for an email coming your way regarding the free SAT in November for Alachua County students. If your parent/guardian does not receive this email and you would like to take advantage of the opportunity, please come see Ms. Bryen before October 25th.
Seniors! Monday, October 9th P.K. Yonge will be holding Financial Aid Night at 6:00 PM in the library. We will be joined by Mrs. Donna Kolb, the Associate Director of the Office for Student Financial Affairs at the University of Florida. She will discuss important information regarding Bright Futures and Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA.
Attention grade 8 students:
P K Yonge has been invited to participate in Santa Fe College’s Middle School Showcase. The showcase is designed to enable students to explore the various career and technical programs offered at Santa Fe College. This year students will visit:
1. Health Sciences
2. The Teaching Zoo
