Today is Thursday, August 31st and it is an A Day!

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Any student interested in taking driver education this semester should see Coach Johnson to sign up. Students must be at least 15 years of age. The class will meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:15 am until 8:00 am; and on Wednesday afternoons from 1:40 pm until 2:30 pm. The cost for the course is $100. All checks must be made payable to the “University of Florida”. The first 30 students to sign up will be admitted into the class. The class will begin on Tuesday, September 5th in  J-307. Please do not bring payment until you have been admitted into the class.

There will be an OM Interest meeting for Middle and High school students in Mr. Moody’s room tomorrow during power hour.  Please stop by to find out more and to fill out the form so that we can start to fill teams.

First Priority: Middle and High School students are invited to participate in the First Priority Christian club during HS Power Hour. Middle schoolers are welcome to bring their lunch, and spend a relaxing time at the portable Z-1428.

French Club: Middle and High school students, if you would like to learn about the French culture, and have a fun time, join the French club on Fridays during HS Power Hour in Ms. Rodriguez’s classroom Z-1428.

School Counseling:

Today during lunch the following College, Universities, and Programs will be outside of the cafeteria to talk with you about their individual programs:

  • Florida Athletic University
  • Johnson and Wales University
  • Santa Fe College Career and Technical- Construction
  • University of North Florida
  • United States Army National Guard
  • Jacksonville University

 Performing Arts:

If you are planning on competing at districts, register your event with Ms. Snyder by Thursday, September 7th. Check your email to stay up-to-date on club information.

Do you love to sing, but do not have room in your schedule to take chorus? Men’s chorus will begin tomorrow in Dr. Harris’ room in the PAC, room A-104 during power hour. Join us for all the fun and excitement. See Dr. Harris if you have any questions.

Tomorrow there will be a Middle School Drama Club  interest meeting for 6th and 7th   graders.  The meeting will be outside the library during Power Hour.  6th graders who are unable to attend this week because of a field trip, please come on Friday, September 8th.

 Golf plays against St. Francis today, tee time is 4:00pm.

Volleyball is in action today at GHS.  JV begins at 6:00pm and Varsity follows at 7:00pm.
