Announcements, Thu., 8-12-2021

Good morning! Today is Thursday, August 12th.

Thank you for your attention during our Behavioral Expectations presentation yesterday during Advisory time.  And thank you to those who have already begun sending questions.  We will answer these questions during morning announcements.  Here is the first one:

BECAUSE YOU ASKED:

 QUESTION: I am worried about taking off my mask.  What should I do during lunch?

ANSWER: There are many options or places to physically distance yourself during lunch.  Eating at an outside table is probably your best choice.

Schedule change requests can be submitted through tomorrow.

Here is the Schedule Change Process:

Thursday, August 12 – Friday, August 13: Return signed forms to Main Office
This form must be signed by a parent/guardian.

Counselors will then schedule a time to meet with you as needed.

Remember that the elevator may only be used if you have an elevator pass from the school nurse. Use of the elevator without a pass leads to an automatic discipline referral.

Here are some details about the end of the day:

• If you are getting picked up by the gym, please know that your driver may pick you up in Rows 1, 2, or 3.
• Afternoon supervision takes place in the cafeteria from the end of school until 3:15. From 3:15 to 4:00, supervision takes place in the first floor commons.
• Students must not be picked up or dropped off on the streets near our gates. If you try to do so, you will be asked to return to your designated areas or to leave campus to be picked up outside of our gated entryways. Families attempting to drop students off or pick students up outside the school gates will be redirected to the appropriate entrance.
