Announcements, Thu. 10-21-2021

Good morning! Today is Wednesday, October 20th.

“Students! Interested in a college fair? Go see multiple universities and state colleges but registering for this event! Go to the counseling canvas page, click announcements, and choose the announcement labeled “College Fair” for more information.”

Basketball Cheer Try-Outs will be held on Wednesday, October 27th from 4:30-6:30 pm in the gym.  Please print a try-out packet off the cheer website or pick one up from the main office as try-out packets will be due to Coach Clark or Coach Barrett by Friday, October 22nd. They can be dropped off at the main office.

“Attention members of student council and faculty grade level advisors, this is a reminder that we will be meeting on Friday October 22nd in Green 133 (Mr. Bourn’s room) after school. Topics to be considered will be upcoming grade level activities and a debrief of homecoming. Please make every effort to attend!”

Attention seniors!  Please look at the announcements in the senior canvas course for updates and news. The senior newsletter, located under class pages on the P.K. website, has also been updated. You’ll find information about due dates for senior profiles, information on scholarship opportunities, and more.

Girls Middle School Basketball try-outs will be held on Monday, October 25th from 3-4 pm and Varsity Basketball try-outs will be held from 4-5:30 pm.  Please have your FHSAA physical and parent consent form into Coach Barrett before try-outs begin on Monday.

Come to the HALLOWEEN DANCE on FRIDAY October 29th.  $5 at the door to get in. Kick off the Halloween weekend with a dance just for high school. Halloween costumes are up to you!

 Please remember to contribute to UNICEF trick or treat campaign to help children around the world with meals and medicine. Our UNICEF students will be collecting donations during lunch at the cafeteria.

 Our very own Devin Pedro has been nominated for top plays of the week for his touchdown run against Wildwood last Friday night. You can find the link to vote on the football twitter page by searching the twitter handle @PKYFootball.

There will be a BSU meeting in Mr. Courtney’s classroom, This Thursday 10/21, directly after school. This is a mandatory meeting for ALL BSU members. Please email me @ ncourtney@pky.ufl.edu if you cannot make it. Thanks in advance.

Come see the fall play, A CHRISTMAS CAROL playing November 3rd through 6th in the Performing Arts Center. Tickets are only $7.  You can get your tickets in the Theatre room or the business office if you are paying with a credit card. Come see this awesome play, support the students involved, and get in the holiday spirit with A CHRISTMAS CAROL!
