Congrats Football
Congratulations to the Blue Wave football team for their 38 to 12 victory on Friday night. Way to play Blue Wave!
Elementary Science Lab Volunteer
We are looking for a responsible high school student to work in the elementary science lab before school each morning from 8 AM – 9 AM. This is a wonderful opportunity to earn community service hours while helping excite younger students about science. If you are interested, please see Dr. Sheppard or Dr. Geiger
Congrats Marching Blue Wave
This past Saturday, the PK Yonge Marching Blue Wave Band performed with the University of Florida’s Fighting Gator Marching Band! They performed in front of a crowd of over 80,000 fans under the lights during Halftime at the Gators vs Samford Bulldogs game. They performed “Fancy Like” by Walker Hayes and “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver. We are so proud of you and how you represented P.K. Yonge! Way to go Marching Blue Wave!
Junior Journey
Attention Juniors: On Tuesday, September 10 at 5:30 p.m come to Junior Journey in the 1st floor green wing. Mrs. Corbin and Mrs. McElroy will be there to review your transcripts and talk about how to prepare for your senior year. We hope to see you there!
Homecoming Tickets
Big announcement! Homecoming tickets are out! You can order your tickets on the hometown ticketing app starting TODAY. QR codes will be posted around the school. The starting price is $15 and the price goes up to $20 on the 23rd, so order them soon! Remember the theme is UNCHARTED WATERS so bring your swag and pirate booty to the HOCO dance Saturday, September the 28th! See you there.
SG Popsicle Sale
Having a parched day? Meet Student Government at the gym, PAC, and 6th street entrance after school, September 10th (tomorrow) through the 12th for $1 popsicles! See you guys there!

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS! Homecoming nominations are live on the top of your canvas page! Nominate students in your grade only! Nominations close this Friday, September 13th.
Girls Soccer
Come check out PKY girls soccer at the interest meeting this Wednesday 9/11 at 8am at the top soccer field behind the softball field. We’ll answer questions about tryouts and the upcoming season.
NTHS
Are you passionate about graphic design, technology, engineering, medical, or another trade that you’re learning in your PK pathway? Do you want to be recognized for your hard work, leadership, and dedication in these areas? Come learn more about the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) and how you can get involved! NTHS is an organization that celebrates student achievement and promotes leadership, scholarship, and service in technical education.
The meeting will be September 12 from 8:30-9 before school. Meet at the blue benches down by the gym and we will transition from there to N382.
At this meeting, you’ll discover the benefits of joining, including: Exclusive scholarships and awards, Leadership development opportunities, Opportunities for Networking with industry professionals, Recognition for your achievements

Yearbook Cover Contest
Are you interested in a FREE Yearbook? Enter the cover design contest! This year’s theme for the yearbook is “In the Moment” and we are looking for cover designs that reflect that. Check out the yearbook insta for more contest information!
Best Buddies
For current members and interested students in grades 10 through 12, Best Buddies will have a meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 10th in room 333 during 10-12 lunch to kick off the new school year. We will be planning our first Balance 180 meet-up with our buddies. We hope to see you on Tuesday!
Softball Fall Ball
Softball Fall Ball will start Monday September 16th. Conditioning and Training will be Monday-Thursday 4:30-6pm. It will last from September through October. All students wanted to participate MUST have an updated physical form and signed parent/player consent forms (documents can be downloaded from the P.K. Yonge website).
