Announcements – Monday, January 27
January 27, 2025Good morning, Blue Wave. Today is Monday, January 27th.
Congrats Envirothon Team
Congratulations to Henry Huynh, Will Mercado, Abigail Pruden and William Pruden for an outstanding first place win at the Central Florida Regional Envirothon! And Congratulations to Lily Caldwell for winning the aquatics section!
Congrats Lady Wave Basketball
On Thursday we were the clear victor by a 59-36 margin over the First Christian Lions. P.K. Yonge’s victory was all the more impressive since the Lions were averaging only 29.38 points allowed on the season.
P.K. Yonge’s success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Matilda Parrish led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave Parrish a new career-high in points. Montinique Williams was another key player, going 6 of 10 on her way to 16 points in addition to five boards and five steals.
