Spring Musical Auditions
Mark your calendars! Auditions for the Spring Musical, Into the Woods, will be on Wednesday, December 13th at 2:00 in Mrs. Hemmerich’s room. Callbacks on Thursday, December 14th, same time and place. Audition material and sign ups will be posted on the Troupe 4102 instagram and the PKY Performing Arts Facebook page by the end of the day.
Winter Wonder Grams
BSU will be delivering WinterWonderBags on Wednesday, 12/20 during 4th period. Purchase a special gift and write a WinterWonderGram for your friends to be delivered before the holidays. These treats are $2 each and can be purchased in front of the cafeteria during HS lunch beginning today and continuing through next Monday.
Student Faculty Basketball Game
The Student-Faculty Basketball game is happening soon! Will the students beat the faculty? Be there to see! Tickets will be sold at middle and high school lunches beginning today. For only $3 or 3 cans you can be a part of the excitement. Don’t miss out!
Congrats Thespians!
Congratulations PKY Thespians for attending the District 12 Thespian Festival and coming home with Several Excellent and Superior ratings. Big shout out to TOP HONORS Ashlynn Price with her Acting solo, Pantomime (Adam, Becker, Lia Subramanian, Tessa Frenchman, Ibrahim Seck, Amira Souik & Ashlynn Price) and Duet Acting with Joel Kern and Ibrahim Seck. And last- Best overall and Best Supporting roles in our one act competition by Landon Bishop and Ashlynn Price! We are so proud of you!
Those that received a superior rating should meet in Mrs. Hemmerich’s room during HS lunch on Thursday, December 7th to discuss State Commitments. This meeting will be brief and no other Thespian meeting will be had this month.
Health Science Club
The Health Science Club invites everyone interested in learning about the medical field of cardiology to our next guest speaker in person presentation by Dr. Aranda, a UF Health cardiologist this Friday, 12/8 at 2:45 pm in Dr. Cordero’s room. You will have the opportunity to practice how take blood pressure and pulse. Hope to see you then!
Lunch Trash
As a reminder, please check your area and throw away any trash before you head to class after lunch. If you see a piece of litter, please be a good citizen and dispose of it. We need everyone to pitch in to keep our campus beautiful.
