Good morning, Blue Wave.

Today is Monday, September 25th, 2017 and today is an A Day!

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Beginning this week, there will be a microwave available for student use in the east side of the cafeteria on the condiments table.  This microwave is being provided on a trial basis. It is to be maintained by those who use it — students.  There will be Clorox Wipes available to use for cleaning up after yourself. If the microwave is misused or not maintained, it will be removed.

Middle School Softball Club will begin Wednesday after school from 2:45 – 3:45. Please see Mr. Steffens or the info on PK website for details.

Any student interested in taking driver education this semester should see Coach Johnson to sign up. Students must be at least 15 years of age. The class will meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:15 am until 8:00 am; and on Wednesday afternoons from 1:40 pm until 2:30 pm. The cost for the course is $ 100. All checks must be made payable to the “ University of Florida “. The first 30 students to sign up will be admitted into the class. Please do not bring payment until you have been admitted into the class.

Are you interested in serving your country, while having the opportunity to become a pilot, doctor, or even astronaut one day? An Air Force Officer will be available during high school lunch outside of the cafeteria on Wednesday to talk about an exciting scholarship opportunity that allows you to be a college student while training to be an Air Force officer. Don’t forget to stop by!

The cafeteria will serve one free breakfast and one lunch meal per child per meal session. Any extras need to be purchased from lunch account funds or cash. The individual getting the meal has to be present at the point of sale; if they don’t know their number the cafeteria will be glad to look it up by their last name. The cafeteria will have three lines open at biscuit break to accommodate every student getting back to class in a timely manner.

Power Hour:

There will be a mandatory Habitat for Humanity meeting today during power hour in Señora Rodriguez’s classroom. All new and returning members should be in attendance. If you are unable to make the meeting, please see Señora Rodriguez as soon as possible for a club interest form.

There will be a Key Club meeting during Power Hour on Tuesday in Ms. Andrews’ room.  Please arrive promptly, and please bring your dues.

The next Marine Science Club meeting will take place NEXT Tuesday (October 3rd) during lunch.  This change was made to prevent interference with other club meetings.  We will elect officers at that time.  All members, please plan to attend!
