Today is Monday, March 11th and it is a B Day.

All members of Global Awareness Club, we will meet on March 29. We will be meeting to discuss the Global Scholar program and to start planning our Global Celebration Day. Attendance to this meeting is mandatory.  Please remember to send your poems and book covers to Katrina or Mrs. Santiago this weekend.

Attention Teachers:

All JV and Varsity Baseball Team members need to be dismissed at 1:30 today. Players, you should have your gear, be changed, and be loading the bus behind the gym by 2 PM.

Attention ALL Middle School, Freshmen, JV and Varsity players who participated in the boys’ basketball program this past season: There is a mandatory meeting on TOMORROW at 3:00 PM in Coach Courtney’s classroom.

Attention High School Students:  You are invited to attend a special performance with Dr. Geiger at 2 PM on Saturday, March 16th at the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.  From Colored to Black is a multi-media production incorporating film, theatre, oral history, and facilitated discussion to address issues of systematic racism related to health, wealth, education, and more. Your Social Studies teachers have been provided more detailed information. If you would like to attend, please email Dr. Geiger or drop a note for her by the front office.  The deadline for signing up is TODAY.

Great meet this weekend at Westside High School.  The Track Team came in third overall with everyone contributing to the team’s success.  Special shout out to Middle School sensations, Jaren Hamilton, Jayvian Greene, and Zuriel Reed and High School athletes, Del Ducharme and JaNelle Morant.

Speaking of JaNelle… JaNelle was one of the student athletes selected to represent Florida at the 2019 National Student Leadership Summit in Indianapolis, Indiana this summer.  Congratulations, JaNelle. Way to represent!

Congratulations to Ms. Bryen who has been recognized as an exemplary Professional School Counselor for the 2019 College Board Counselor Recognition Program.

Congratulations to Mrs. Snyder and her On Stage class for their outstanding performance with the Chieftains yesterday at the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.  They received a standing ovation for their amazing show. Way to go!

The chemathon team will meet today in Mr. McCrea’s classroom during lunch.
