December 9, 2019

Monday, December 9th and it is an A Day.

Will the faculty bounce back and beat the students on the court this year?  Watch and see! Tickets are on sale this week during both middle and high school lunches for the annual Student-Faculty basketball game.  The game is on Friday, but avoid the crowds–buy your ticket today–still only $3 or three cans of food!

Have you ever wondered if you could help the homeless members of our community stay warm on cold winter nights? National Junior Honor Society members are collecting blankets during the first two weeks of December to donate to the Alachua County Coalition for the Homeless and Hungry. Please bring a blanket to donate in one of our boxes around campus.

The Alachua County Democratic Party is sponsoring a writing contest for middle school students.  The topic is: What African American Leader Inspires You…and Why? Essays must be emailed no later than January 20th.  There are cash prizes for the winners. For more information, see the flier in the front office window.

All UNICEF students our school cleaning day is Wednesday, December 11 after school. Please join UNICEF cleaning our school.

P7 Club will be meeting in Mrs. Janicke’s room tomorrow during lunch.

This is a reminder about our medication policy:  Students should not have any medications outside of the school clinic.  All medications — including over-the-counter medications must be dispersed by the school nurse.  Under no circumstances should be offering or sharing medications with others.

PK’s high school National Honor Society is collecting toys for Toys for Tots.  Please bring in NEW, UNOPENED, and UNWRAPPED toys by this Friday, December 13th. Questions? Please see Dr. Weller for details.
