Good morning, Blue Wave.

Today is Monday, October 2nd and today is a B Day!

The PSAT will be given Wednesday, October 11th from 7:45am-12:30pm at the Wyndham Garden Gainesville.  PKY bus transportation will be provided to and from PKY.  All 10th graders will take the exam at no cost and do not need to sign up.  It is strongly recommended that all college bound 11th grade students take the PSAT. Cost for the PSAT is $28 and waivers are available for students with financial need.  Please see your grade level counselor for those waivers.

If you are interested in taking the PSAT please sign up and pay in the PKY Business Office. Registration closes Thursday, October 5th at 3:00pm.

Hispanic Honor Society, Habitat for Humanity, the Global Awareness Club, and Key Club will be collecting items to help the victims of Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Families impacted by the hurricanes and earthquakes are in need of batteries, battery operated cellphone chargers, battery operated fans, toiletry items, infant care items, first aid kits, clothes, shoes, 40-gallon trash bags, and mosquito repellent. Please deliver your donations to the classrooms of Ms. Santiago, Ms. Rodriguez, or Ms. Andrews, or to our table in front of the cafeteria at lunch.

Please remember that every student eats free until October 20th Please do not try and get two meals; the system will only allow you ONE meal per meal session

The next Marine Science Club meeting will take place tomorrow during lunch.  This change was made to prevent interference with other club meetings.  We will elect officers at that time.  All members, please plan to attend!

Thespian Club Members: All Yankee Candle orders are due to Ms. Snyder by October 4th.  Please make sure all forms and payments are complete when you hand them in.

If you are a member of the Hispanic Heritage Celebration Planning Committee, please plan to report to Ms. Cheveallier’s room on Wednesday directly after school.

Attention all Middle School Acts of Random Kindness Club Members:

Please stop into Mrs. Ireland’s office today or tomorrow during Power Hour to vote for the final version of our logo.  Mrs. Ireland’s office is located in the front office. Thank you!
