Good morning! Today is Monday, April 5th.

Congratulations to the Softball Team for defeating Buchholz 25-19 on Friday night.  Congratulations also to the Varsity Baseball Team for beating Oak Hall 9-6 on Friday and giving Coach Brunson his 60th win!  Way to represent, Blue Wave!

Seniors – there have been a few changes to the calendar for the end of the year and updates on senior events.  Please look at the announcements section of the canvas course for details!

Students, interested in going to UF- especially their business school? UF’s Warrington College of Business will be hosting their Emerging Leaders Conference. This event is to help underrepresented students learn about the college and gain insight on how to be competitive in the application process. This event is open to Freshman, Sophomore, and Juniors and all students are welcome. The event will be hosted on Saturday, April 17 at 10am. Please see the counseling canvas announcement, or the announcements through Mr. Mathien and Ms. Koppitch’s canvas shells for their informative flyer. For additional questions, please see the point of contact email on the flyers.

Middle and High School Students:  Please do not block the mosaic door entrance in the mornings.  Teachers need to be able to enter the doors unimpeded.

Because you asked:

Will there be a virtual option next year? We have not gotten the official word from the Florida Department of Education, but we are pretty sure that students will be expected to attend class in person next year. We will return to our normal virtual class policies. For example, If there is a course you need that we do not offer, you can take it virtually during the school day,  You can only take one virtual class period per semester. The deadline to apply to do so next year is May 10th. Please reach out to your counselor if you have questions.

Please stand for the pledge: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Have a great day, Blue Wave!
