March 8, 2021Good morning! Today is Monday, March 8th
Congratulations to the Varsity Baseball Team for their 18-1 win and to JV for their 16-3 win over Bronson on Friday night. Middle School plays tonight at home, and JV plays in Hawthorne. Good luck to both teams, and Go Blue Wave!
As part of their work in a project based learning class last semester, the following students have been invited to attend the formal ceremony where the Mayor of Gainesville and the Mayor of Gainesville’s Sister City in Iraq will sign an official Sister Cities agreement.
On-campus middle school students in the following group should come to the Main Office at 8:50am this morning. For off-campus students in the group, a zoom link will be shared by your teachers and has been shared with families. The event will take place in zoom and students will return to class when the event ends at 10 AM. This event will be live-streamed on the City of Gainesville’s Facebook page: https://fb.me/e/3G9VinVD0

Today we will answer a couple more “Because You Asked” questions:
| Can we make our lunch earlier in the day– maybe between second and third? | Because our cafeteria staff serves the elementary school as well as middle and high school, we cannot serve lunch to secondary students earlier in the day. They are tied up serving elementary lunch between 2nd and 3rd periods. |
| Are we going to be doing a musical any time soon? | COVID restrictions have put our spring musical on hold for now. We hope to return to a spring musical production next school year. We all miss the wonderful performances of all our performing arts groups — theatre, band, and our vocalists. |
