March 1, 2021

Good morning! Today is Monday, March 1st

Congratulations  to the Varsity Baseball Team for their 17-1 win over Hawthorne on Senior Night last Friday.   High fives also to the JV Baseball Team for their 15-0 win over Hawthorne.  Way to go, Blue Wave!

Big thanks to our Black Student Union and Mr. Courtney for the heartfelt Black History presentation that they provided last week.  They put a lot of time and thought into bringing important topics and perspectives to our attention.  We are grateful.

Seniors: Santa Fe is offering their annual Summer Enrichment Experience from 6/21-7/30. The program is designed to help students acclimate to college and give an opportunity to earn college credit. Students who complete the program may qualify for scholarships, as well.  If you are interested in this program, see Mr. Chambliss or Mrs. Koppitch for more information.

Seniors – please, please, please check in on the Senior Canvas Course announcements.  There is crucial information there on senior field pictures, senior parking, senior signatures for the yearbook, and is being updated constantly. You can also find how to join the Remind app for text reminders on these events.

Today we will answer a couple more  Because You Asked questions… Remember,   If you have a new question, you can turn it in to Mrs. V in the front office or email Dr. Geiger.

Because you asked:

When will normal classes start – when will we not be doing zoom? I wish I knew the answer to this question! We would all love to return to normalcy as soon as possible. Wearing masks and trying to keep ourselves and others safe is one thing we can do to hopefully speed up the process!
Who will be here if Mr. Pringle is gone? Coach Hawk has been supervising Mr. Pringle’s students while they zoomed with him. BUT we are excited to announce that Mr. Pringle is back on campus beginning today.  Welcome back, Mr. Pringle!

Please stand for the pledge: (READ THIS SLOWLY…)

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Have a great day,  Blue Wave.
