Good morning! Today is Monday, February 1st

Tomorrow is picture day!  Teachers, please take note of the schedule.  It’s available in email and the Weekly Wave.

Seniors – You may have your cap and gown pictures taken TOMORROW during picture day.  SWI will be set up in the PAC and will provide caps and gowns for you to wear for the picture. Please check in the senior canvas course announcements for the schedule or see Mrs. Koppitch for more information.

The dual enrollment information has been updated on our school website.  Link is on the High School Counseling Canvas page announcements and will be posted below for daily announcements on the website. (Links to an external site.)

Students interested in dual enrollment for next year are encouraged to look over the PowerPoint and bring any questions they may have to our high school counseling lunch and learn either TOMORROW or Thursday Feb. 4th from 12:33pm-1:03pm.  Off-campus students see zoom link below or on High School Counseling Canvas announcements.  On campus students are welcome to join us via zoom or face to face during lunch outside at the sculptures in the new secondary building courtyard. A representative from the UF dual enrollment program will also be on hand via our zoom room during that time to answer any questions you may have specific to their program.   Please reach out to Mr. Chambliss or Mrs. Theiss with any questions.

Attention seniors – Santa Fe has over $1.8 million to give away to deserving eligible students. With only have 11 applicants at this time, Santa Fe wants high school seniors to complete the application by the priority date of February 15th. Please see the link for the application in the announcements section of the Senior canvas course, or in the senior newsletter on the PK website.

Seniors – To get ready for all the events graduation-related, we need to make you aware of a few things:

  • Community service hours will be due on April 1st.  You need 150 hours in order to receive a cord for graduation.  Everyone needs 75 hours in order to graduate.  Please plan ahead!  Return your signed sheets to Mrs. Flinchum in the front office in order to get them counted. You can find the sheets and more information on community service opportunities in the Volunteer Hours module of the Senior Canvas course, or talk to Mrs. Koppitch.
  • Unfortunately, due to COVID, Grad Bash will not be an option for us this year.  However, we are planning ahead for an entire “Senior Week” filled with celebrations and events.  More information will follow as we get closer.

Please stand for the pledge:

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Have a great day, Blue Wave.
