Today is Friday, August 30, and it is a B Day.

Please remember that campus closes at 4 PM daily.

This week was a great week for blue wave golf, defeating Trinity Catholic on Tuesday shooting a 6 under par 138 and Oak Hall on Thursday shooting a 142. Jake Davis lead the bluewave shooting 30 for both matches.

Congratulations to the varsity volleyball team who defeated Maclay last night 3 sets to 1 to bring their season record to 2-2. Good luck next week on Wednesday versus Buchholz.

There will be a girls’ soccer interest meeting on Thursday, September 5th from 2:30-3:00pm in Mr. Lemstrom’s room K332.  All interested girls need to attend.

Hello, Middle schoolers. Hispanic Heritage month is coming up and the Hispanic Honor Society is putting together an assembly to celebrate Hispanic culture. We are looking for any middle schoolers’ grades 6th, 7th, and 8th to collaborate in a dance as part of the assembly. You do not have to be Hispanic to participate. If you are interested, please come and see Ms. Brown in room i-107 right after school today or tomorrow at 2:15 or email her at cbrown@pky.ufl.eduto find out the practice days and times. Repeat, this is open to any middle schooler who is interested. Thank you.

Student aides need to visit the business office TODAY during your aide period to get your IDs. Dual Enrolled students and students completing virtual coursework off campus need to visit the business office TODAY to get IDs to show the gate guard in order to leave campus.   Please take care of this by Friday.

Hello all middle school students!  The Middle School Acts of Random Kindness Club will have its first official meeting of the year TODAY during lunch.  We will meet outside the cafeteria under the awning. Our tables will be covered by blue tablecloths. Join us! We perform random kind acts and have fun!  See Mrs. Ireland if you have questions.

TODAY is our TECA day. Taquitos, Empanadas, Croquetas and Arepas will be sold during these two days after school near the gym. Please support the Hispanic Honor Society.

Attention seniors – this year is full of lots of important dates.  We’ve worked out a way to help you keep track of it all. From the PK website, you can go to the Senior Corner page (under class pages) and join the Remind class for text reminders.  Also on the website is a link to a constantly updating newsletter with important information. You may also add the Google calendar from the website to your own calendar. This calendar has been compiled by all the senior teachers and includes all the important dates.  Don’t miss out!

If you are going to see THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHTTIME at the Hippodrome with Thespians, please bring your ticket money to Ms Snyder by 9/3.

For any Middle School or High School students interested in playing Varsity Softball for PK this year, there will be an interest meeting held on Thursday, September 5th. The meeting will begin right after school at 2:20pm up at the softball field. If you want to be on the team but are playing another sport during the fall or can’t make the meeting, go and see Coach Ryan in ISD (Room K-331) during 6th period.

Thespians: Tons of info is coming to all troupe members through our REMIND app.  Make sure you are receiving all Thespian club info be getting on the Thespian club REMIND app. You need all your paperwork completed by SEPTEMBER 6 in order to get your bridge pass and officially become a member of Thespian Club.

THESPIANS: We are in full swing for district IE’s .  All events must be registered with Ms. Snyder by September 16th.  Go Thespians!

The Bloodmobile will be at PK on Tuesday September 10th from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Anyone 16 years of age or older is encouraged to donate. All donors must show a picture ID in order to donate.  16 year old donors must have written parental consent in order to donate. Parental consent forms are available in the front office. See Dr. Geiger to sign up for the blood drive during lunch on Monday, September 9th.

All UNICEF members please remember that our meeting is TODAY during lunch in Mrs. Santiago’s classroom.
