Today is Friday, May 17th and it is a B Day.

The deadline for submitting National Honor Society applications has been extended. Students who were invited to apply must submit their completed applications to Dr. Weller by Tuesday, May 21st, at 2:30 pm.

There will be a Cross Country interest meeting for the 2019 season on Thursday May 23rd at 2:15pm in Coach Kovach’s portable Z-1153.  Anyone who is interested in running, come check out the meeting, no experience necessary.

GSA will be selling delicious baked goods today after school by N-wing (the art building).  Stop by and buy a treat to start your weekend right!

As you may or may not know, this will be my last year teaching school.  As a result, some of you may not get to know me, get your touch stones, or see me when you are a senior….  SO! Students, Faculty, Staff, Seniors, Pre- Seniors and Anybody else that knows me, wants to know me or won’t get the chance to receive your touch stones from Dr. Allison… Y’all COME ON DOWN and Visit me in M-347 To GET YOUR END OF THE YEAR GIFT!  I look forward to seeing YOU!

Seniors, please remember to fill out a “Final” transcript request form and turn in to Mrs. Flinchum or Ms. Bryen to have your transcript sent to the College you are going to attend.

Nominations for Student Council elections will continue today. Please nominate a student in your grade level to run for your class’s President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer positions. You cannot self-nominate. The nomination process will end TODAY. Please go to your Social Studies teacher, or L-355, to pick up a nomination form today. Forms can be turned in to your Social Studies teacher or submitted directly to L-355. If you have any questions please see Mr. Lightbourne. Don’t forget to pick up a speech outline form as well!

Campaigning for Student Council offices continues today. Please respectfully campaign for your accepted offices until Friday, May 24th using flyers, posters, and social media. Remember—you cannot change the office that you are running for after Monday, May 20th. All speeches must be shared as a google doc on Friday, May 17th.

Campaign speeches for 9th through 11th grade will take place in the PAC. 8th grade speeches will take place during the 8th grade breakfast. Grade level speeches, in the PAC, will take place in the following order: 9th grade on Monday, May 20th during 3rd period, 10th grade on Tuesday, May 21st during 6th period, and 11th grade on Tuesday, May 21st during 5th period. ATTENTION SENIORS: The date of the Final Wave Walk has been changed to Tuesday, May 21st.  Please check the Senior Update link on the announcements page of the website for further details.

Students traveling to Costa Rica with the Rosa Rabell scholarship, please remember that you are meeting with Mrs. Santiago after school in her classroom for your practice and to review for your test from CPI. The meetings are every Tuesday and Thursday after school from 3:00-4:00.

All middle school students interested in learning more about the Middle School Science Olympiad team please come to an interest meeting TODAY during lunch in Dr. Cordero’s room, I-112.

Attention Seniors,
Please come to the front office to review the final version of your graduation contract. Please review for edits in spelling and minor additions or changes. A copy will be with Ms. Bryen. Contracts will be available for review until the end of the day on Tuesday, May 21.

Today is J day for the Z-A countdown; hopefully you wore a crown. Monday is I Day: Wear indigo or inside out clothing.
