Good morning! Today is Friday, February 10th.  BLACK HISTORY FACT! On this day Andrew Brimmer is appointed by President Johnson to become the first African-American governor of the Federal Reserve Board.

In appreciation of school counselor week we wanted to let you know that Numerous research studies have quantified the impact of school counselors on student development and success, as well as on school climate and K–12 education in general. These studies support the role of school counselors in student success, including improved ACT and SAT scores, more informed college decision-making, fewer disciplinary actions, improved attendance and more. Thank you to all our counselors  

Godspell

Come see Godspell! Prepare ye for the timeless tale of friendship, loyalty and love constructed as a group of parables based on the Gospel of Matthew and filled with favorite songs such as “Day by Day” and “We Beseech Thee” this a joyous celebration of friendship, love and devotion to high ideals. GODSPELL is a show for everyone. The show runs from Wednesday, February 15th -Saturday, February 18th. All at 7pm

Tickets are on sale  in the homestead app. Look for posters around campus with a QR code to purchase.

K/1 Coffee 

Reminder for all middle and high school students that the K/1 coffee company will be selling hot coffee, cold brew, and hot chocolate for $5.00 by the student parking lot. Cash only. Every Friday. 

Yearbook Seniors

Seniors – do you know where you are going to college next year? Want to show your new school some spirit? The yearbook would love to feature you in your new school colors. Go to the senior canvas course to fill out the 1-question survey if you are interested in being on the college choice page. See Dr. Beckett, or yearbook students, for more information.

Candygrams

The National Honor Society and the National Junior Honor Society will be selling Valentine’s Day Candygrams for $1 during middle and high school lunch starting Monday, February 6 and ending Monday, February 13. Buy a treat for a friend and support a good cause.

No Food in Classrooms

Reminder to all students, there is to be no food in the classrooms. You are allowed to have water only please. Food trash and crumbs attract ants, roaches and rats. Please help keep our learning environment pest free!

MS Art Club 

Attention Middle School Art Club students: Please meet today at the beginning of lunch for our yearbook photo. We will meet by the big tree ringed with benches. Thank you!

Thespians Bake Sale 

The Thespians Club will be having a Bake Sale from dismissal until 3pm today, Monday and Tuesday on the sidewalk by the student parking log. Please bring cash to grab some delicious treats and support those going to State Thespians!

Congrats Girls Basketball

Congratulations to the varsity girls basketball team who defeated Trinity Christian 57-27 in their regional quarterfinal. Come support the blue wave next Tuesday at 7 in the regional semifinal. Tickets will be on goFan

BSU Rehearsals 

The Black Student Union will meet Monday, Feb. 13th, in Ms. Hemmerich’s room during High School Lunch. All are strongly requested and welcomed to attend. Additionally, the $10 for club shirts is due during Monday’s meeting.

Gospel Choir

In preparation for the Black History Month performance, the Gospel Choir will rehearse Tuesday, Feb. 14th, in Ms. Hemmerich’s room during High School Lunch. All are strongly requested and welcomed to participate.
