Thespians!

Our first social event of the year will be attending the show, MURDER FOR TWO at the Hippodrome Theatre in Gainesville on September 23rd. Make sure you have your ticket money to Ms. Snyder no later than September 17th!

Now, more than ever, we need to develop young leaders who are prepared to handle the many challenges our communities face.  The River Phoenix Center for Peacebuilding is offering a 360 Youth Empowerment program for 9th-12th graders.  This is a series of free engaging experiential classes focusing on leadership, personal development and skill-building to support your leadership and personal goals. At the conclusion of our program, youth will present their learning, dreams, and ideas for the community.  To find out more go to www.centerforpeacebuilding.org

Do you love music and performing? Are you interested in community service and making a difference? If you are in 9th through 12th grade, join Tri-M Music Honor Society, the national music honor society for students. To be eligible, you need to maintain at least a B average in your classes, be enrolled in a music ensemble, and be interested in using your musical skills to serve your community. If you are interested in joining Tri-M, meetings will be in the PAC Choir room every second Monday of the month. Our first official meeting is on Sept. 13. Sign up before that meeting on the Club Page Google Form on PK Yonge’s website. See you then!

“Attention all National Honor Society members: There is a meeting today at lunch around the big tree. Please talk to Ms. Roach with questions.”

Congratulations to the middle school girls volleyball team who defeated Oak Hall last night 2 games to 1. Good luck with the rest of your season

Please pause for a moment of silence: Hang up and start again for the pledge

Please stand for the pledge:

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Have a great day, Blue Wave!
