May 7, 2021

Good morning! Today is Friday, May 7th and it is O day.  I hope you wore orange.  Monday is N day — Wear a necktie, necklace, or neon colors! The entire Z-A Countdown can be found on the website under the Announcements tab.

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. Let your teachers know how much you appreciate all they do for you!

If you ordered the new P.K. Yonge shirt, they are here!  Please come pick yours up from the front office.

Reminder that students wishing to take a virtual course as a period in their schedule during the school day next year, must have a signed and completed P.K. Yonge virtual contract returned to Mr. Chambliss or Mrs. Theiss by no later than Monday, May 10th.  Classes taken outside of the school day do not require a contract.  Please reach out to them if you have questions.

Interested in Cross County or Golf for fall 2021? Please come to an informational meeting on Wednesday, May 12th right after school in the cafeteria.

Are you interested in joining the P.K. Yonge Colorguard? We will be having an interest meeting on Thursday May 13th at 6:30pm in Mr. Marski’s zoom room. Stop by the band room at ANY time for more information! Join the Colorguard this upcoming season!

Juniors and Seniors who are attending prom: Parking for prom will be at the north end of campus — in front of the PAC around the top circle, and in faculty/staff parking lot. You will enter through the mosaic doors.  See you on the red carpet on Saturday PM!

Attention 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th graders!
It’s time to elect next year’s grade officers and student body officers.

If you are interested in running for an office:

  2. Save your video with your name, and the grade level and office you’re running for (PeterPan_9thSecretary, Tinkerbell_11thPresident)
  3. Upload that video to your P.K. Yonge Googledrive.
  4. Share your video with mkoppitch@pkyonge.ufl.edu on Google.
  5. Specify the office you are running for in your submission (9th Grade Treasurer, etc.)
  6. Submit your speech video by Friday, May 14

IMPORTANT:
Only rising 11th and 12th graders may run for the student body offices.
