Good morning! Today is Friday, April 22nd.  Y day – so hopefully you are wearing yellow! Monday is X day – Wear clothing with bones or x-rays!

 A tough battle ended with a Blue Wave 9-8 win over the Menendez Falcons last night! Way to go, Varsity Baseball! AND Congratulations to Coach Brunson on his 75th Blue Wave win!

Today is Earth Day! Earth Day 2022 has a theme of “Invest in our Planet” with a focus on encouraging individuals, businesses, and world leaders to invest and switch to greener technologies and practices.

 Good Luck to the PK Yonge Wind Ensemble as they perform at the Florida Bandmasters Association State Music Performance Assessment. This is the band’s first ever performance at this level and it is one you will not want to miss! Come on out to the Curtis M. Phillips Center TONIGHT and support the band as they perform at 6:15pm. Best part is it is FREE for anyone and everyone! It will be hard to find a cheaper idea for a date night, and we hope to see you there!

Congratulations to the boy’s tennis team for their win yesterday in the regional final match against Episcopal school of Jacksonville. this is the first time in 87 years the boy’s tennis team has advanced to states as a whole team. A special shout out to Kendrick Esguerra for winning his singles and doubles matches to help clinch the victory. Thanks to all the PK students who came out to support the boys this week! The boys play Monday at States in Orlando.

All students who are attending the Florida Bar Association Leadership Roundtable today: please be on the bus no later than 10:15 so that we can arrive at the event in a timely fashion! Thank you.

 Congratulations to our men’s 4x100m team of Jaleal Thomas, Trevor Brown, Sam Barnett, Bakari Harper and Zavier Doualehi who advanced to the Regional Track meet on May 5th.  Congratulations to Nymera Presley who advanced in the 100m and 200m sprints and medaled, placing 2nd in the 100m hurdles and 3rd in the 300m hurdles at districts. Zuriel Reed led the Blue Wave finishing as the district champion in the 100m hurdles, 300m hurdles, 100m sprint and 200m sprint.  Good luck at the regional meet!

Middle School Students!

The Spring Social is NEXT FRIDAY (April 29)!!  ALL students must have a ticket to attend.  Tickets will be sold MONDAY – THURSDAY at middle school lunch.  Tickets are $5 and will include a slice of pizza and a drink.  Please be sure to get your ticket by Thursday if you plan to attend!
