March 12, 2021

Good morning! Today is Friday, March 12th

Congratulations to the girls and boys tennis teams on their win last night over  First Academy. A special shout out to the girls doubles teams for clinching the victory! Way to go, Blue Wave!

Next week on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday during lunch the Climate Action Club will be selling handmade chokers, reusable face wipes, and scrunchies. All proceeds will go to helping raise awareness about climate change and to environmental nonprofits. Come check out our zero-waste fundraiser made from reused items! Pictures of our products are on Instagram @pky_climate_action_club.

Seniors – you must have 75 hours of community service TURNED IN by April 1st in order to graduate.  Please be aware of the date. Dr. Geiger is willing to give some hours to those of you who would be willing to clean the south parking lot. See her during lunch for more information.

Seniors – please check your canvas course for the Senior Project. Everything is due on March 18th.  If you have questions, please see Dr. Haas-Moskowitz.

Class-specific t-shirts are on sale until Spring Break.  Shirts are $11.50 and we have a different color for 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders.  We also have a black shirt for everyone that is not grade-specific.  Look for the fliers around school for the website or QR code, or go to this link: https://pkyfundraiser2021.itemorder.com/sale which you can access through the Announcements section of the PK website.

Seniors – please go to the football field at 1 (that’s right at the end of lunch) on Monday, March 15th  (NOT TODAY) to take your senior field picture.  The Lifer picture will take place right after. There are no retakes for these, so please be on time!

ATTENTION MIDDLE SCHOOLERS.  This is a message from your High School Colleagues: Thanks for doing a better job of cleaning up the wooden picnic tables.  They looked much better yesterday. If you all would continue to throw away all your trash and food from lunch, we would appreciate it!

Today we will forego “Because You Asked” questions. Listen up Monday for more questions and answers.

Please stand for the pledge: (READ THIS SLOWLY…)

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Have a great day and an awesome weekend, Blue Wave!
