January 14, 2022

Good morning! Today is Friday, January 14th.

Seniors looking for scholarships! Clay Electric’s Youth Scholarship is out and ready for you! Come to the main office to pick up an application and ensure it is submitted by April 4th. Also, The Santa Fe Foundation Scholarship Application for 2022-2023 is now open! The priority date is February 15, 2022.  This priority date is for high school seniors only; this cycle has less competition for scholarships. Santa Fe typically has 125-150 scholarships to award for this cycle.  For the 2022-2023 academic year they have over $1 million to award deserving eligible students. A majority of the scholarships are for Alachua and Bradford Counties students. Seniors, go apply!

Registration for Driver Education classes is currently open . Please call 955-6959  to sign up . Classes begin 1/24 /22.

JV and Varsity Baseball Tryouts will be held NEXT MONDAY, January 17th at 1 PM.  You must have a sports physical on file with Coach Barrett to try out.  Please see Coach Brunson during lunch if you have any questions.

Attention middle and high school students. When school is dismissed, as you make your way to the student parking lot, please take caution and care of the elementary students waiting to be picked up. Try to remember what it was like when you were that age and the larger than life high school kids came thundering past you in a massive herd. Thank you so much for being awesome big brothers and sisters!

Any Middle or High School girls interested in playing softball this spring we will have tryouts on Monday, January 24th from 3:30-5. You must have an athletic physical on file with Coach Barrett before the tryout date. Please email Coach Ryan at rstewart@pky.ufl.edu with any questions or concerns.

Lastly, as we observe the MLK holiday on Monday with the closure of our school, I leave you with these insightful words from Dr. King.
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”

Have a great day and weekend PK!

Please pause for a moment of silence: Hang up and start again for the pledge

Please stand for the pledge:

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Have a wonderful day Blue Wave!
