6th Grade Orientation | New to Middle School Night
July 26, 2018P.K. Yonge Families of Incoming 6th Graders and Students New to Middle School! As part of our welcome to you, we invite you to join us for New to Middle School Orientation Days before school starts.
Dates and Times
July 31, 12-3pm – Orientation Day 1 – for 6th Grade Students
August 1, 12-3pm – Orientation Day 2 – for 6th Grade Students
July 31, 6-7:30pm – Family Night for ALL New to Middle School Students
Orientation Days for 6th Grade
We invite ALL 6th graders to come to campus both days (July 31 and August 31) to get to know each other, their teachers, and become familiar with what’s new about 6th grade! Activities on the two days will be different, so be sure to come for both days! In addition to a series of activities to help 6th grade students get to know each other and learn about the coming year, 6th grade students will also be assigned Chromebooks during those days.
Location : 6th Grade day-time events will take place on the north side of campus. Students can be dropped off at the top of the front circle outside and will check in at the 6th Grade Orientation table.
Middle School Parent Night – Performing Arts
On July 31 from 6-7:30pm, we invite all 6th grade families and families of students new to middle school to join us for a family Orientation to Middle School. Students are welcome, but information shared will be specifically for adult family members and space will be limited. Information will be shared about what families should expect in middle school. Parking is available in the visitor lot and the north lot.
