Good morning, Blue Wave.  Today is Wednesday, December 6^th and it is an A Day!

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

The Yearbook Staff has a couple announcements:

 

If you have not yet ordered your yearbook, reserve a copy today at the early bird rate of $60 and guarantee yourself a copy. Prices will increase after December 31^st to $70.

Senior yearbook ads are also available for purchase. A senior ad is a dedicated section of the yearbook specifically for your son or daughter. You may purchase an ad online, and we strongly recommend that the ads be ordered sooner rather than later so we can start them ASAP. Once your ad has been purchased, be looking for an email which will include a survey for us to gather ad information regarding your son or daughter. Ads will be available for purchase until January 31.

School Counseling:

The December Scholarship Newsletter is available! There are many scholarships for seniors, so please visit the PK Yonge website or the School Counseling Twitter to take a look.

Attention upperclassmen:  The last day to get transcripts before the holiday break is Tuesday, December 12^th. Please see Mrs. Flinchum before December 12^th if you need a copy of your transcript for college applications.

 

Power Hour:

Sign up for the Blood Drive today ONLY! Anyone who is 16 year olds will need a parent permission form to give blood. Everyone giving blood must bring their photo ID this Thursday which is the day of the drive. Students can sign up for a timeslot with Aaron Prendergast before or after school as well as during lunch!

 

Any varsity athletes that wish to purchase a letterman jacket should attend an information & fitting meeting tomorrow during Power Hour in the gymnasium.  Please come at 11:50am (even if you are a middle school student) as the representative will not be here for the full hour.

 

Come and support the students as they “take on” the faculty in the Student-Faculty basketball game!  The game will take place during the second half of third period on tomorrow.  Tickets are on sale during lunch. Only 3 cans or $3, and for a great cause!

 

Have you ever wanted to hear your teachers sing your favorite holiday songs? Well now is your chance. VOTE in front of the cafeteria during Power Hour/Lunch between now and December 12th for the teacher you want to hear sing the Twelve Days of Christmas on December 15th. Place whatever amount of money you wish into the teacher’s bucket of your choosing. The teacher with the most money will have to sing over the school speakers on the last day of school before break. One teacher from elementary, middle and high school will be selected. Ask your tenth grade student officers for more information. We can’t wait for you to help us spread holiday cheer!

 

All Poetry Out Loud participants, please remember that you need to present your poems today after school. Please remember that the attire is business casual.

 

Heads up: The library will be closed for Power Hour tomorrow due to testing.  Please plan accordingly.
