President Carter Day of Mourning
Some of you have asked why our flags are flying at half-staff. This is in honor of U.S. President Jimmy Carter who recently passed away at the age of 100. President Carter is known for his commitment to peace and service, giving back to his community throughout his life. He demonstrated many honorable qualities. Learn more about him at history.com
Law Enforcement Appreciation Day
Today is law-enforcement appreciation day. When you see Coach Henri, give him a high five and thank him for all that he does to keep our campus safe.
BSU
Attention BSU members. Our next meeting will be on Friday, January 17th. We will be finalizing the content of the February program. Come early for hot chocolate.
Cold Weather Alert
REMINDER: When the weather is below 40°, we will be inside before school, either inside the cafeteria or inside the secondary building in the first floor commons. In either of those places, we need you to behave safely, responsibly, and kindly.
Track Team
Interested in the track team- please use the QR code located on the window of the cafeteria and main office to get up to date information. Conditioning will resume tomorrow at 4 pm on the top field.
Softball
Middle school and high school softball tryouts will be Monday and Tuesday January 13th and 14th 4:30-5:30 at the softball field. Players should wear and bring proper clothing, equipment, and water.
Pre-Collegiate Club
Pre-Collegiate Club members, plan to meet during lunch on Monday in the first-floor commons. Our next college visit is scheduled for this coming Wednesday, 1/15 on the E-Learning Day. We will be visiting Santa Fe College Main Campus at 10 AM. We will depart from P.K. Yonge at 9:00 AM. Please see Ayrin King or Dr. Geiger, OR stop by the front office for a permission slip.
Boys Tennis
Students interested in trying out for JV or V tennis, should contact Coach Van Boven. Tryouts are Monday, January 13 at Jonesville Tennis Center, 4:30-6:30pm. Anyone trying out must have updated health and physical forms.
Eco Club
ECO Club will meet Friday morning at 8:20 at the ampitheater. Dress warmly!
Baseball
Attention blue wave JV and varsity baseball players, arm care conditioning continues tomorrow and Friday, from 4 to 5:30. Tryouts for JV and Varsity will be on Monday from 4 to 6.
Girls Tennis
Girls’ tennis team tryouts for varsity and JV will be held at Westside Park from 4:15-6 pm on January 13th, 14th, and 15th. Students must complete all required forms on the athletic clearance website in advance to participate. Don’t hesitate to contact Coach Franklin if you have any questions.
Hispanic Honor Society
All members of the Hispanic Honor Society please come to our meeting on Tuesday, January 14 from 8:20 to 8:50 at L-356.
UNICEF
All UNICEF club members our first meeting of the year will be on Thursday, January 16 from 8:20 to 8:50 at L-356.
Global Awareness Club
All members of Global awareness our next meeting will be on Thursday, January 23, from 8:20 to 8:50 at L-356.
