Good morning! Today is Thursday, October 6th. As we continue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, it is important to note that this year’s national theme is Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation. The theme is to encourage all voices to be represented and welcomed to help build stronger communities and a stronger nation.

Softball Interest Meeting

Interested in playing softball? Come to the softball field on Thursday, October 6th at 4pm with your gear. Practice at 4pm and parent meeting at 6pm. 

Yongesters

Your Yongesters softball team faced a devastating loss on Tuesday night losing a lot of runs to less runs. There were bright spots, Mrs. Beckett returned from injury and had a hit, Dr. Mundorf turned an unassisted double play, while Mr. Linne, Mr. Commeret, Dr. Bainter, and Mr. Magura had RBI hits.  

Girls Tennis Interest Meeting

Interested in girls’ tennis for the spring 2023 season? All current and prospective students in grades 6-12 interested in playing should attend the interest meeting on Tuesday, Oct.11th.  The meeting will be held in Mrs. Franklin’s classroom room 336, 3rd floor, green from 2:45pm-3:15pm. 

Announce October 4-13th

The annual powderpuff game will be held Friday, October 28th. Any 9-12th grade females interested in participating please see Coach Barrett during high school lunch. Cost is $5 to participate.

Fall Play: Ax of Murder

Come see the fall play AX OF MURDER playing October 12-15th in the PKY Performing Arts Center.  Tickets are only $8 and you can buy them on the school website or the Hometown Ticketing app. This fast-paced mystery will keep you guessing until the last minute!Come see this awesome play and support the students involved, and guess who-done-it in AX OF MURDER!

Middle School Art Club

Middle School Art Club will not meet after school this Thursday. We will resume normal meetings next week. See you then!

Dual Enrollment 2023-2024

Are you interested in dual enrolling at Santa Fe or UF next year? Dual enrollment interest agreements are avalible for rising juniors and seniors on our school website and in the main office.  The Interest agreement should be read,  completed, and turned in by October 14, 2022.

Global Awareness Club

All members of the Global Awareness Club our meeting will be this Thursday October 6th during lunch.

PK Student Parking Pass

Students, you are required to have a current PK parking pass in order to park on campus. If you do not, you will be charged a $5 parking Ticket. Remember, unpaid school fees can result in loss of extracurricular activity participation and other penalties. 

BTW Fundraiser

Come eat at BTW October 7th, 8th, and 9th and help support our 4th and 5th grade Blue Wave friends trip to DC! Just mention that you are with PK so that a percentage of the sales is donated to the 4th/5th DC Trip.

Thespians

Thespians! Meet today at lunch in the theater room for a brief meeting about districts. 

FCA

FCA meets today!  The Fellowship of Christian Athletes Club will meet in the cafeteria from 2:45-3:15pm.  Athletes, non athletes, Christians, non Christians. Come check out FCA!  We hope to see you!

ECO

There will be a meeting of the Environmental Conservation Organization (ECO) today during high school lunch, at the benches around the live oak tree. All members, please plan to attend.
