February 12, 2021

As we close out the week celebrating the 100th day of school, we wish everyone a safe, relaxing weekend and remind you that Monday, February 15 is President’s Day and there is no school.

Before we go, we have a few things to celebrate!

Seven students were accepted to present at the XXI Annual Colloquium on Hispanic American and Peninsular Literature at the University of Central Florida. Congratulations to Antonia Muñoz, Thais Román, Valentina Galván, Adriana Valladares, Gabby Zrebi, Santiago Correa Murillo, Nichole Lajara…and to Sra. Santiago who will be presenting with them.| Details

A belated congratulations to Destini Williams (8th grade) on winning a United Nations Association of the United States of America Essay Contest. Her essay was published in the Gainesville Sun in January: The role of the UN in combating COVID-19.

We have many successes to celebrate in athletics! Middle school girls and boys basketball teams won their conference championships, all winter sports made it into the postseason playoffs, boys basketball is competing for the district title tonight (Friday), and girls soccer won their district championship. Boys soccer is competing in the regional quarterfinals on Wednesday, February 17, and girls basketball made it to the regional quarterfinals.
