Continued Construction, Elementary Pick-Up/Drop-Off Changes
January 25, 2021The opening of our new secondary building marks a big step in phase II of our total campus revitalization project. This project includes construction of the new secondary building, removal of old facilities, re-orienting our main entrance, and replacing the canopy over our sidewalks and construction activities will continue into the Summer of 2021.
As phase II of the campus project continues, you may see new construction fencing being put in place on the north end of campus as work begins on the removal of old buildings (H-Wing, I-Wing and the north campus portables).
Every effort is being made to minimize impact on the school day and on school traffic.
Elementary drop-off and pick-up routines will be adjusted slightly.
Cars pull all the way up to where construction fencing starts at the top of the circle.
4/5 student seating will be further down the circle toward the old main office in the morning.
4/5 student seating will be in front of the Performing Arts Center in the afternoons.
K/1 will take a different route to the playgroup in the morning, and will walk along the south side of the elementary building, through the lobby, and up the stairs to the playground. Assistance will be provided to help students acclimate to the new routine.
Should additional changes be required, information will be shared as soon as it becomes available.
