Today is Friday, October 11th, and it is an A Day.

Congratulations to the Golf team Who defended their Alachua county golf championship title yesterday at the Marc Bostick golf course. They shot a 309 to defeat st. Francis by 18 strokes. Also Congratulations to Ian Lentz who shot a 3 over par 73 and won the tournament in a 3 hole playoff. Good luck on Monday at the district tournament!

Attention all Acts of Random Kindness club members:  We will meet at lunch today in the amphitheater. This is the space between the side of the PAC and the administration building.  Please attend!

Blue Wave GSA is meeting today, in Ms. Andrews’ room (O-362) during high school lunch. We need to finalize plans for the carnival, and prepare for Pride Week.  All are welcome! We hope to see you there.

Are you interested in making new friends or having a fun place to hang out with your current friends? Do you like games and free snacks? Would you like a place to talk about your faith and the Bible with your classmates? Join us for the first ever United Club meeting Tuesday the 15th after school in Mrs. Still’s classroom I-112. All 6th-12th graders are welcome, hope to see you there!

Seniors – make plans to come to the next senior seminar on NEXT Wednesday, Oct. 16th after school.  This is a change from the original calendar. We will continue our work from the last time and add a few more opportunities in.

The PKY Fall Carnival is this Friday. The PTO has service hours available for High School Students who would like to help out with Carnival. Please go to the PTO Page on the School Website and sign up on the Sign Up Genius. This is a great opportunity to earn hours while having fun. If you want to work with a friend, please mention it in the notes.

All students are invited to hear the University of Florida discuss their admissions process at 2:30 PM on October 17th in Mr. Cabrera’s room.

Teachers, this is FTE week.  Please check your class rosters for accuracy, and be sure to take attendance during the first 10 minutes of every class period.  Thanks!

Do you need volunteer hours? The City of Gainesville needs volunteers for multiple events this year, including the Downtown Festival and Art Show and Hoggetown Medieval Fair. If you are interested, please contact Mr. Velez at VelezGA@cityofgainesville.org
