Jasmine Ibarrientos – Alachua County Teen Art Schow

October 22, 2018

Congratulations to Jasmine Ibarrientos (10th grade), on taking first place in Alachua County Teen Art Show 2018. The inspiration for her collage drawing came from a class visit to the Latin America Exhibit at the Harn Museum. The piece combines a background, middle ground and foreground from the various artworks in the museum, from which Jasmine created her own visual narrative.

Jasmine has been a committed P.K. Yonge artist since middle school where she took a yearlong Middle School Portfolio Class which offers an in-depth opportunity to focus on and produce visual art. Jasmine has attended summer art camps, completed the Creative Photography class and served as a studio assistant to Ms. Johnson.

Congratulations to Jasmine, and to her peers who also received awards at the show.
