Tredina Sheppard joined the P.K. Yonge faculty in 2015 and became the Assistant Principal of Academic Achievement in 2022.  P.K. Yonge’s Assistant Principal of Academic Achievement is responsible for supporting high standards of students’ academic success. The Assistant Principal works with all stakeholders by gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing information to ensure equity in educational opportunities and assist in leading the school’s academic advising program. The Assistant Principal of Academic Achievement also serves as the lead for developing a Personalized Education Plan for each student, driven by student academic and career interest inventories.

Tredina previously taught middle school science and has also been the 8th grade Team Leader, Science Olympiad Coach, You Be The Chemist Facilitator, Nearpod Certified Educator, and Teacher Leader for iDigFossils-UF (NSF grant).
