B.S., Biology, University of Mary Washington, Virginia
M.Ed., Secondary Science Education, University of Florida
Lisa began her career at P.K. Yonge in 2003. After several years living out of state, and working at other schools, she is happy to be brought full circle- back home in Gainesville and with her Blue Wave community. Lisa has taught several science courses over the years, including Biology, Anatomy/Physiology, Forensic Science, and middle grades Science. She also holds a gifted endorsement and serves as a gifted teacher. While Lisa considers herself a ‘science nerd’ and loves her content, the most important thing to her is that her students have the opportunities they need to think critically and creatively, and that they feel supported to try new things and keep a growth mindset.
When not in school, Lisa enjoys spending time with with her husband (also a teacher at P.K. Yonge) and her two sons, Dillon and Riley (also students at P.K. Yonge). The favorite pastime of the Fab family is traveling and trying new foods wherever they go.
