Mrs Hemmerich grew up in in theatre, singing, acting and dancing. She understands that performing arts can be the most rewarding way for students to express themselves in a healthy manner. She strives to build positive relationships with all of her students so that they know they are safe and cared for in her classroom. She hopes to always have trusting, respectful relationships with students and their families, as she strongly believes that parents and teachers are a team. Mrs. Hemmerich began teaching at P.K. Yonge for the 2020-21 school year and has been teaching since 2011.

Mrs. Hemmerich spent many years in elementary education and is enjoying branching out to older students/young adults and has served as an in house mentor to first-year teachers and interns.

Outside of school, Mrs. Hemmerich loves spending time with her family whether it be going to the springs on the weekends or simply relaxing at home watching Disney movies with her children Tenley and Tristan.
