B.S., Elementary Education (Sociology Minor), Magna Cum Laude, Florida International University
Certificates: ESOL, Spanish-World Languages, Early Childhood Education, Gifted and Special Education
Fabiana started her Educational journey back in 2003 while teaching elementary at Miami Dade Public Schools. Her passion for education continued and she completed certifications in Early Childhood, ESOL, World Languages-Spanish, and Gifted Education.
Due to her husband’s career, Fabiana had the opportunity to live and work in different parts of the world (Europe, Middle East, South America, and the Caribbean-West Indies) which allowed her to learn and experience a variety of educational styles and curriculums. These experiences not only have enriched her as an educator but ultimately shaped her as a human being; Understanding, appreciating and respecting different cultures and traditions is a very valuable skill needed to achieve integration and equality in and outside the classroom.
Fabiana works in the Admissions Office of P.K. Yonge where she interacts with the diverse community of Gainesville and helps families throughout our unique admissions process. She is delighted to be part of the staff supporting P.K. Yonge through its commitment to excellence and innovation in education and to serve this community and future generations to come.
Along with being passionate about education, she enjoys traveling with her family, painting, cooking, reading, and learning new languages. Fabiana speaks Spanish, English, Portuguese and intermediate Arabic.
