Christy Gabbard, M.Ed. is the Director of Program Development and Outreach at P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School at the University of Florida.

With a career in education beginning in 2000, Christy has taught elementary, middle, and high school students, specializing in reading intervention with adolescents. She has also worked extensively with teachers and students serving as a literacy coach prior to focusing on curriculum development for schools and districts.

In her role as Director of Program Development and Outreach at P.K. Yonge Christy’s work centers on supporting communities of educators as they engage in the examination and redesign of K-12 curriculum across disciplines, designing professional learning for educators both at P.K. Yonge and in the broader educational community around the state and nation.
