Amery VanDeGrift

Amery began her teaching career in 2020 and loves P.K. Yonge! Before becoming a teacher at P.K. Yonge, Amery learned from experienced teachers as the 2nd Grade intern while earning her master’s degree in Special Education from the University of Florida. She is continuing her education by pursuing her Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership and finds it to be a challenge to be both a student and a teacher. After three years in kindergarten, she is excited to move to 2nd Grade! She has served as the head volleyball coach for both middle school and high school varsity. Amery is passionate about growing the whole student in a culture of love and compassion. When she is not at school, Amery loves to spend time with family/friends, to travel the world, go to the beach, and scuba dive!
