Description: The lemon plant forms an evergreen spreading bush or small tree and produces characteristic sour fruits (Lemons). Its young leaves are oval and have a reddish tint and later turn green. The flowers, which can bloom all year but generally do so in the fall and early spring, have a sweet odor and from them the fruits grow. Lemon trees often  have sharp thorns at along their branches which make harvesting lemons somewhat difficult.
