Tutoring & Resources: Empowering Every Student

At P.K. Yonge, we believe every student deserves to thrive. That's why we offer robust tutoring assistance, from teacher help sessions and specialized test prep to a wealth of digital resources. Whatever you need to stay on track, we've got you covered.

  • Tutoring is offered for many subjects at P.K. Yonge. Students should reach out to their teachers and school counselors to find out tutoring options.
Teachers offer weekly help sessions or help sessions by appointment. New Tutoring schedule available in August.

The Varsity Tutors platform gives students opportunities for on-demand chat tutoring and on-demand essay review. These live resources can assist with questions about homework, classwork, or test prep and are accessible 24/7.

UF Crop Tutoring will be starting in September. More information coming soon.

  • Through the Peer Tutoring Program, high-achieving high school students are matched with middle schoolers in need of academic support. The pairs meet weekly after school for an hour. Middle school students receive help with course content, study and organizational skills, assignment completion, time management, etc. Peer Tutors act as role models, earn volunteer hours, and hone their leadership/mentoring skills.

  • Intensive group test prep tutoring sessions are offered after school by faculty.

Varsity Tutors™(login through Clever): Visit the Varsity Tutors™ platform to improve core and elective knowledge. Varsity Tutors™ also offers SAT and ACT test prep with self-paced classes and practice problems.

Schoolhouse SAT Bootcamp: Preparing for the digital SAT? Attend a 4-week tutoring bootcamp on Schoolhouse, a non-profit founded by Sal Khan of Khan Academy. Parents must sign up for it to get consent for their student to participate.

Alachua County Library ACT/SAT Test Prep: under “research” – “databases” – “learning express”

Khan Academy Test Prep: Khan Academy offers self-paced test prep modules and practice tests.
