Good afternoon Blue Wave! Today is Friday, September 11.  Today we pause to remember September 11, 2001, and honor the lives that were lost, the families forever changed, and the courage of the first responders and everyday heroes who served others. Please join us in a moment of silence.  Fishing Club Are you an angler? Do you enjoy fishing? Do you want to learn more about fishing and get together for trips and fun with friends?  PK is starting a 6th-8th grade fishing club! There will be an interest meeting in Mr. Moody’s room, the daVinci Studio in the Elementary building, Monday September 21st right after school at 3:10. Come find out about the possibilities and get ready for some fun on the water! Girls Soccer Interest Meeting Attention girls in grades 6–12 interested in playing soccer! Join us for the Girls Soccer Interest Meeting on Tuesday, October 6, at 3:30 p.m. at the soccer shed. Meet the coaches, learn about the upcoming season, get tryout information, and have your questions answered. We hope to see you there! Girls Soccer Try Outs Girls soccer tryouts for students in grades 6–12 will be held on Tuesday, October 13, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Meet at the soccer shed to get started. Please bring your own water, and cleats are recommended. Athletic Clearance must be completed before you can participate. Good luck, and we hope to see you at tryouts! HoCo Dance Hey Blue Wave! The homecoming dance is on September 26th from 7:00-10:30pm! The theme is A Night in Athens. Get your tickets for the starting price of $25. 1 week before the dance the price will be $32, and the week of the dance the price will be $37, so get your tickets early! See you there! HoCo Parade Themes All club members or sports teams make sure to tell your teacher advisor or sponsor to check their inbox for homecoming parade updates for Olympic themes. Sign up to be in the parade soon! Each sports team will be assigned a specific Olympian to decorate their float accordingly. See more on the bluewavestudentgov instagram. Letterman Jackets Interested in purchasing a letterman jacket? The letterman representative will be taking orders during lunch on Monday, September 21st at the table by N Wing.  Order forms are located in the front office or on the athletic website. SGA Feedback We’re officially one month into the 2026-2027 school year, and student government wants your feedback on how you think student government is doing so far! To share your thoughts, scan the QR codes located at the beginning of your wing near the student government photos. Your feedback matters! Pre-Collegiate Club Attention students! Are you interested in learning more about college, preparing for your future, and exploring opportunities after high school? The Pre-Collegiate Club will be having a club meeting on Wednesday, September 16th, during lunch. Come join us to learn more about the club, meet other students, and get involved! We hope to see you there! Again, that’s the Pre-Collegiate Club meeting on Wednesday, September 16th, during lunch. Don’t miss it! Speech and Debate Club Have you ever felt the need to share your ideas out loud? Or simply just share what's on your mind? If so, considering joining the Speech and Debate Club! The club runs Wednesday mornings from 7:50 to 8:20 in Mr Kovach's room, first floor blue wing, in room 111. The first club meeting is on Wednesday, September 9th, at 7:50! Hope to see you there! Peer Tutoring Attention 9th-grade students! Need a little extra help in Math, Science, English, History, or electives? Peer Tutoring is available during designated 9th-grade office hours! Upperclassman peer tutors will work alongside 9th-grade students in a comfortable group setting to answer questions, review assignments, and provide extra academic support.  Peer Tutoring is available Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:45 to 8:25 AM in Room 333 with Mrs. Czyz, and Mondays and Thursdays from 3:00 to 3:45 PM in Room 336 with Mrs. Coats. Bring your questions, assignments, or something you’d like to work on, and let your fellow students help you succeed! We start tomorrow!  HOSA HOSA membership is now open! Stop by room L-354 to pick up your membership packet. Membership closes Sept. 30. Interested in becoming a HOSA Ambassador? Submit your packet by Sept. 16. Join HOSA and get ready for a great year!
