Announcements – Thursday, April 10

Good morning, Blue Wave. Today is Thursday, April 10, 2025 ACT Reminders All students in 10th and 11th grade, and those students in 12th grade who signed up to take the ACT, be sure to bring your Chromebook and your charger on both Monday and Tuesday mornings.  Monday morning, we will complete the pre-identification session for ACT. If you are a 10th or 11th grade dual enrolled student or an FLVS student who does not come in during 1st period, please plan to come to school at 9:30 on Monday morning to be ready to complete this pre-identification session that is required to test on Tuesday.  On Tuesday morning, all students who are testing need to arrive on campus no later than 8:45 AM. Testing will start at 9:00 AM. Students who are late to their testing location will not be allowed to test.  Bring a water bottle and a snack for the ACT test on Tuesday. Also, bring a calculator if you prefer to use your own. Girls Tennis Good luck to the Varsity girls' tennis team in their final season match today against Buchholz at 4 p.m. (at BHS). Congratulations on a fantastic season, and good luck at districts on 4/14 and 4/15!  Library Week Trivia Listen up for today’s library week trivia. We’ll take the 4th person who texts: 352-562-1554. Make sure you text your first and last name so we can bring you your prize! In Wonder by R.J. Palacio, what is the name of the boy with a facial difference who starts attending school for the first time? NHS If you have qualified for National Honor Society and are completing the application process, everything is due Tuesday April 15th for your application to be considered. Grad Bash 2026 Juniors! You have been sent a form on canvas to choose where you would like the 2026 Grad Bash to be held! Please fill this out as soon as possible! SG Elections Hey blue wave - voting for your student body officers and senators will be open April 9-16! Make sure to check your canvas emails for the campaign videos and voting forms. Keep your eyes peeled for posters around school and make sure you watch all the videos before casting your ballot! Election results will be announced April 17!! Good luck to everyone running.
