P.K. Yonge is proud to announce Tori Evans as the new Head Coach of the Girls Varsity Soccer program.

Evans brings a high-level playing background and a strong commitment to both athletic and academic excellence. She competed at the University of Florida for three seasons before finishing her collegiate career at the University of Miami.

While at Florida, Evans developed into a reliable contributor on the Gators’ back line, appearing in 38 matches with 22 starts. She gained valuable experience competing in the SEC and was recognized as a four-time SEC Academic Honor Roll selection. After transferring to Miami, Evans made an immediate impact, starting every match during the 2024 season and logging significant minutes from her defensive position. Off the field, she continued to excel academically, earning Academic All-District honors as a graduate student pursuing a degree in sports administration.

Evans credits her passion for coaching to the influence of the outstanding mentors she played under including Mike Pickett, and Becky Burleigh, whose leadership and approach to the game helped shape her vision for developing student-athletes.

“We are thrilled to welcome Tori to lead our girls soccer program,” said Kelly Barrett, P.K. Yonge athletic director.. “Her experience at the highest levels of college soccer, combined with her passion for player development and her leadership, make her an outstanding fit for our student-athletes.”

“I’m incredibly excited for the opportunity to lead this program,” said Evans. “I look forward to continuing to build a competitive, positive culture and helping our players grow both on and off the field.”

In addition to coaching P.K. Yonge, Evans currently serves as the Girls Youth Director at Sporting Gainesville Soccer Academy.
