About Middle School
At P.K. Yonge, middle school students represent a vibrant community, embracing their individuality as they strive for excellence in academics, athletics, visual arts, performing arts, and a variety of extracurricular pursuits. Their school day unfolds in a technologically advanced environment, immersed in a rigorous core program encompassing mathematics, English/language arts, social studies, and inquiry-based science across all grade levels.
These students transition from elementary school alongside familiar faces and welcome new peers, fostering a culture enriched by diversity. Within this supportive and safe environment, they cultivate a sense of belonging and community while growing as learners and individuals poised to positively impact their local and global communities.
Encouraged by a comprehensive range of electives, athletics, and afterschool activities, P.K. Yonge middle schoolers forge friendships and explore their interests within their grade levels and across a broader K-12 educational community. This environment nurtures their confidence in their unique abilities and passions, instilling in them a deep appreciation for the opportunities provided by their school. As they mature, these students emerge as bright, compassionate, artistic, athletic, and intellectually curious individuals, embodying remarkable potential for future success and leadership.
