Thespians Fundraiser at Blaze Pizza

Come Support our PKY Thespians! Tuesday 10/10 from 5-8pm!

We are raising funds to go to NYC in January! We will be passing iut fliers at lunch Monday and Tuesday. Show flier or use code 1073B online at checkout and a portion of funds will go towards sending Thespians to BROADWAY!

Thespians going to NYC please meet in Mrs. Hemmerich’s room on Tuesday 10/10 during HS lunch for a fundraiser meeting.

MS Girls Basketball 

Any middle school girl interested in playing basketball this year can come to the gym the next 2 Tuesdays (October 10 and 17) from 3:00 – 4:00 for open gym. Make sure you have the proper attire (shoes, shorts, etc.). Any questions? Ask Coach Commeret, Coach Lee, or Coach Powers.

PowderPuff Tickets

Do you want to attend the Powder Puff football game from 1:10-1:40 pm on Wednesday, October 11th?  Tickets will be sold for $3 at middle school and high school lunch in front of the cafeteria windows.  You will need to show your ticket to your teacher to be released to the game.

High Tide

This Wednesday, Oct. 11th is PK’s biggest pep rally of the year! High Tide will take place in the PAC. Doors open at 6:45 pm. Come celebrate our fall sports teams and see skits, games, music by our very own “Boat Stuff”, and find out who will be crowned Homecoming King and Queen. Juniors and Seniors, your choices for the PK Grammys will also be revealed. Tickets are $5 on hometown ticketing. See the QR code on posters around school or scan it at the door.

MS Art Competition

PK is holding a competition for 6th-8th grade students who would like the chance to have their artwork hanging in our State Capitol! The Art in the Capitol Competition will be accepting submissions now through the deadline of Monday, October 16th. Please bring your submissions to either Mr. Moody or Ms. Johnson no later than October 16th. The winner will be announced Monday, October 25th. See Mr. Moody or Ms. Johnson if you have any questions!

HoCo Spirit Week 

Today starts Homecoming Week! We hope to see all of you participating in the spirit days. 

  • Today is Barbie vs. Oppenheimer. Pick which movie you want to represent. 
  • Tomorrow is Rhymes Without Reason. Dress up with a friend as two things that rhyme! 
  • Wednesday is Country vs. Country Club. Put on your best cowboy boots or tennis skirt. 
  • Thursday is Throwback Thursday! Dress like your favorite decade.  
  • Friday is Spirit Day!!! Let’s see that P.K. gear.

HoCo Dance

Homecoming week is here! Celebrate our team and our school at the Homecoming Dance on Friday night. Doors open at 8:30 and the music will go until midnight. Tickets are $10, and $20 at the door. All tickets will be sold through the hometown ticketing app. See the QR code on posters around school, or on the Student Government Instagram page. Today is your last day to buy tickets. Don’t miss out!

HoCo Grade Level Competitions

This year Student Government wants to know what grade has the most spirit. Grade level competition posters will be hung outside communities. The first chance for your grade to win points is this week! We’re bringing back Penny Wars. There are jugs for each grade 6-12 in the library commons. Bring your change and see who raises the most money by this Friday for a chance to get points for your grade level. The grade level who earns the most points by the end of the year will win a big prize!!

HoCo Court

The votes are in and your 2024 Homecoming Court is as follows:

  • 9th grade representatives: Chioma Anumba and Jay Morant;
  • 10th grade representatives: Peyton Janicke and Porter Pedro;
  • 11th grade representatives: Mickinzi Anderson, Carsyn Gleichowski, Micah Gratto, and Eric Vogel;
  • 12th grade representatives: Brooke Gleichowski, Da’Mar Wims, Camron Barnett, and Caleb Little.

Prince, Princess, and King and Queen will be announced at High Tide this Wednesday at 7 pm! Congratulations to our homecoming court.
