P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School at the University of Florida has appointed Ashley Pennypacker Hill, Ed.D. as the next secondary school principal and Dicy Watson as the director of elementary programs. 

Dr. Pennypacker HIll brings 21 years of elementary and secondary experience as an educator at P.K. Yonge. She currently serves as the elementary school principal for P.K. Yonge, and has previously served as director of exceptional student education and as an elementary classroom teacher. Her experience has given her a deep understanding of the school’s unique mission. 

Ms. Watson brings nearly two decades of elementary teaching experience from P.K. Yonge, Alachua County, and internationally. She currently serves as the 2nd and 3rd grade learning community leader. She brings strong organizational skills, communication, and a global perspective to this position. 

“Both individuals were chosen with great care and consideration—not only for their instructional expertise, but also for their deep understanding of and love for P.K. Yonge,” said Carrie Geiger, P.K. Yonge director. “Their leadership will help maintain the continuity of our shared work while accelerating the progress we’re making on behalf of students.”
