Important Reminders

Traffic | Details
There are significant changes to our drop-off, pick-up and parking procedures this year. 

  • Elementary – Drop Off/Pick Up – Main Entrance at 1200 SW 6th St.
  • Middle & High School – Drop Off/Pick Up – South Entrance SW 10th Terr. via SW 16th Ave.
  • Visitor Entrance – Main Entrance at 1200 SW 6th St. For essential visitors ONLY. Families coming to campus for essential purposes (e.g school day check out) are required to call the Main Office (352.392.1554) 30 minutes prior to arrival on campus during the school day.
  • Student Parking – North Lot – SW 11th St. See MAP

Attendance
For elementary students, missing more than 50% of a school day will be recorded as an absence. For high school students, missing more than 50% of a class period will constitute an absence from that class. Policies and Publications / Attendance Policy

Cell Phones (wireless communication devices – WCDs)
A reminder that cell phones are to be stowed in backpacks/bags during class time and instructional activities. Policies and Publications / Acceptable Use of Technology Policy

Dress Code
Students who are not in compliance with the dress code will be given an opportunity to alter their clothing. If students are unable to make alterations that comply with the dress code, a family member will be contacted to come and pick the student up from school.  Policies and Publications / Code of Conduct

Campus Access | Visitor Entrance 1200 SW 6th St.
Visits to campus are limited to essential visitors only. Essential visitors are defined as individuals with business that is critical to the operation of the school (e.g. delivery personnel, contractors, etc.). Non-essential visitors to campus must receive prior approval from administration.

Family members may come to campus during the school day for essential purposes ONLY (e.g family members picking-up students up for early check-out). Family members must call the Main Office (352.392.1554) 30 minutes prior to coming to campus for an essential purpose. Family meetings with administration/faculty will be hosted in ZOOM until further notice.

School Schedule | Details
8:o0am – 2:30pm – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
8:00am – 1:35pm  – Wednesday
Note: Students arriving after 8:05 are considered tardy.

Supervision | Details | 7:30am – 3:00pm (M, T, Th, F)  | 7:30am-2:00pm (Wed). Secondary students must leave campus 30 minutes after dismissal unless involved in clubs, rehearsals, practices, or in after-school options. Middle School and High School study hall until 4pm. Elementary students must be picked up 15 minutes after dismissal unless enrolled in Blue Wave After School. Campus closes at 4:00pm.

Campus Health – COVID-19
Updated Campus Health COVID-19 information was sent earlier today and is available on Campus Health – COVID -19. In addition, our Reopening Plan and our COVID-19 Campus Response have both been finalized. These documents are also linked to the Campus Health – COVID -19 page.
