Today is Wednesday, September 24, 2025 Congrats Golf Congratulations to the Blue Wave golf team who defeated Gainesville High 163 to 205 last night at the UF golf course.  Charlie Tumminia led the Blue Wave with a 2 over par 35.  Good luck Thursday vs Newberry High. Boys Soccer Interest Meeting There will be a boys soccer, 6th thru 12th grade interest meeting on September 30, arrival time 3:05-3:10pm, start of the meeting, 3:10pm. Location: First floor, Blue, rooms 110 and 112.  Girls Basketball Spirit Night  Hey Blue Wave! Join Girls Basketball for a spirit night at Blaze pizza on Thursday, September 25 from 6-9 pm.  Dance Marathon Interest Meeting Attention PK Students!!! Tomorrow is the Dance Marathon Interest meeting! ALL grades 6-12 can come!! Come to the meeting during YOUR lunch! 6th and 7th graders will meet in the 2nd floor commons, 8th and 9th grade will meet in Ms. Czyz's classroom, 3rd floor blue room 333, 10/12 grade will meet in the 2nd floor orange wing open space. We will have a snack! We hope to see you there!! Congrats Envirothon Team Congratulations to current PK Yonge students, Will Mercado, and William Pruden, and 2025 PK graduates, Abigail Pruden and Imalyss Charles, who were honored to represent the state of Florida by competing in the International Envirothon Competition in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  They placed in the top 20 out of 50 international teams!  They also tied for 5th in Current Issue and placed 9th in Forestry!  The Envirothon is North America's largest environmental education competition.   Cash for College Night Hey Seniors - The Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Cash for College Night  and will provide assistance for FASFA on October 9 from 5-7pm in the commons. Seniors who attend the event will receive a $25 gift card. See you then!  Attendance Count Hey PK! From Friday, September 26 to Friday, October 10 is our Attendance Counts days. Student and teacher attendance during this two-week period directly impacts the amount of funding PK Yonge receives from the Florida Department of Education. Please make sure you are present each day — attendance matters for your learning and for our school community. Hispanic Month Performers  All students participating in the Hispanic Month performance need to be practicing.  School Picture Day  Underclassmen school picture day for grades PreK to 11th Grade will be next Monday, September 29. Every student must take their picture for school IDs and for safety purposes.  Senior Portrait Makeup Day Seniors - the senior portrait makeup day will be on Wednesday, October 1 from 8-11 am. This is an eLearning Day and you will need to come to campus to get your picture taken. This will be your last chance to have your senior portrait taken for the Yearbook.  Girls Soccer Attention, PK Girls Soccer players! We are doing Conditioning and pickup soccer on Wednesdays until October 8th. They will be held on the top field. Middle school will practice from 2:00-3:30pm, followed by varsity conditioning, practicing from 3:30-5pm. Bring your cleats and water!
